Remains

Remains is a online tick-based strategy game based in a post apocalyptic world. Two groups of survivors compete for the limited number of resources left to upgrade their units and either take over or destroy the opposing team. Units move/attack based of stamina which is replenished every few seconds allowing gameplay not purely based of action-per-minute (APM) and not purely based off strategy like turn based games.

This was completed during my final year of Game Development at Niagara College. We had a team of 8 for the project. My role was Project Manager/Producer as well as Lead Programming. I also programmed a number of the systems including pathfinding, networking, asset implementation, and general gameplay.

Super Confused News

Super Confused News is a narrative puzzle game where you're playing a journalist trying to determine the truth behind incidents of super heroes to report the most accurate news and not spread misinformation.

This was created in the capstone course going for my BA in Interactive Arts and Science. This was interesting as I was teaching another section of the 4th year class while taking this one as a student and most students knew of my industry experience. I attempted not to take the lead role or influence the project and still help with facilitating learning but ended up taking on lead programming role. I created most subsystems but made sure to let students adjust UI and create puzzles based off programming scripts to help push their skillsets further and dig deeper into programming and design.

End of Days Timer

The End of Days Timer is a small project based off the countdown timer for Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. This came to fruition of wanting to have a fun countdown timer for deadlines. This timer has a ton of minor features like only having the timer work during work hours, setting it for any set days instead of just 3 days, and if the program has issues and need to be reset the user can set it in between a period of time.

This was created in less then 40 hours (spread over a few weeks). All assets were manually created to be close to the assets in Majora's Mask but slightly different. Sound effects were part of an asset pack.
